Superior segmental retaining wall (SRW) design produces superior results. Stay on the cutting edge of
SRW design with the latest industry standard design tools from the National Concrete Masonry Association.
Download free trial versions of Segmental Retaining Walls Design Software (Version 4.0) today. When you are ready to buy, simply order a "product key" online to unlock the software for use beyond the 30-day trial.
Version 4.0 is the first major upgrade since version 3.2, which was released in 2002. Some of the new and improved features in Version 4.0 are:
Version 4.0 also removes two features that have become outdated over time - serviceability requirements for connection strength and use of the hinge height concept. Version 4.0 will also automatically alert you to updates and new releases when you are connected to the internet. This new feature will help ensure you remain on the leading edge of SRW design technology in all your projects.
The new software features a fresh interface and improved functionality. Click on any of the four sample screen images below for a larger, more detailed view.
The National Concrete Masonry Association has available recorded webinars on the use of SRWall Version 4.0. The two free, internet-based tutorials are available here, please select “Recorded Sessions” on the left menu to access the SRW Design Software, Part 1(Static Design) and Part 2 (Seismic Design) from the list. |
The new 3rd Edition of Design Manual for Segmental Retaining Walls is more than 180 pages in length, features more than 70 illustrations and data tables, and is organized into 14 chapters. (Click on either of the sample thumbnail illustrations below for a larger, more detailed image.)
Friction that developes between the reinforced soil and SRW unit effectively transfer vertical load to the SRW unitsequivalent to the height of the wall above the unit - regardless of hinge height, so the hinge height concept has been deleted. Also deleted in the 3rd edition is the servicibility requirements for connection strength between the geosynthetic reinforcement and SRW units. When following the construction guidelines provided in the 3rd edition, the connection between the SRW unit and geosynthetic reinforcement is tensioned during construction. This tensioning eliminates the servicibility issue for currently available combinations of SRW units and geosynthetic reinforcements. If you want to see the subjects the new design manual covers, review a draft of the Table Of Contents.
Incorporated into the 3rd edition are two previously separate SRW manuals, Segmental Retaining Walls-Seismic Design Manual and Segmental Retaining Wall Drainage Manual. The retail costs for these two manuals were $64 and $50, respectively. Now for one low price, all the technical information you need for your SRW design project is now available in a single manual.
Because the Design Manual for Segmental Retaining Walls works in tandem with the design software, the manual downloads automatically (as a PDF file) with the software download. This eliminates searching for missing manuals or having to carry manuals with you if you work using a portable computer. However, if you still require a paper manual, you can order one at a small additional cost from the National Concrete Masonry Association's online bookstore.
